UPPER EAST: Central Adirondacks

Tagged: , , , , , , , , ,

For the 4th of July weekend I was in Upstate, NY and headed to the Adirondack Mountains. I hiked up Bald Mountain and Rocky Mountain, both part of the lower peaks located between Old Forge and Inlet. Both summits overlook Third and Fourth Lakes, part of the Fulton Chain of Lakes, on one side and the Moose River Plains on the other side. The Adirondacks are one of my favorite places, I love the way the mountains feel so old (because they are!), and the forests so dense. Unfortunately it was a cloudy day, but still got some great shots.
